We're going to explain what the seasons in both countries are like.
In the Netherlands, there is a pretty big difference between the different seasons.
In winter, the days are much shorter than in summer and spring. The sun rises later and goes down sooner. The winter is from about 21 December to 21 March.
Compared to Norway, the winters in the Netherlands are not very cold. There is only snowfall for a few days every year. Over the last few years, winters have been getting colder. There has been more snowfall.
The Netherlands had a white Christmas in both 2009 and 2010. It was the first time in the history of the country that there was snow at Christmas twice in a row.
Spring is usually from 21 March to 21 June. The average temperature in is around 9 degrees. The amount of rain varies a lot.
Summer in the Netherlands is from June to August. Over the past few years, summer has been getting warmer. It is usually quite warm. There is less rain and the sun is usually shining. It’s a few degrees warmer than spring. The weather is often great for a few days or weeks, after which it is suddenly cold and rainy. Then after a few days the weather is good again.
Autumn is usually windy and rainy. It is also quite cold. It is from 21 September to 21 December.

Something that is very typical for the weather in the Netherlands is that it is very unpredictable.
__________________________________________________In Norway, the summer it can be very warm and there is usually little wind, but it can also be rainy, cold and dark. Often, the weather is good, around 20 degrees or more. The days are very long because the sun stays up for a long time. You can swim in the ocean and the water is very warm.
In autumn, it starts to get a little colder, with more wind and the leafs start to fall of the trees. The colour of the sky is more orange and red, but also blue. It's usually sunny, but later in the autumn it starts to get cold and dark when the winter is on its way, to it's very gray outside. The days are shorter because there is less light.
The winters are very cold. In the beginning of the winter, before it starts to snow, it rains a lot. The sky is often gray. There is a lot of snow and little sun, and all of Norway is white. It can be very windy. Late in the winter, near the spring it's starting to get warmer and lighter and the snow is melting a bit. In that time the sun is very strong, so you have to wear sunglasses.
In Norway, there is also a blue hour, in which everything is very blue.
In the spring it gets warmer. It is not very different from summer, it is just not that warm, but it is mostly sunny. Of course, there are also rainy days.
Those are the different seasons in our countries. As you can see, there are many similarities, but the winters in Norway are much colder and there is much more snow. Other than that, many things are the same.
